We're going on another space mission! As part of Space Week Salzburg at the Haus der Natur, children (aged 8 and above) are invited to imagine a settlement on an alien planet. Ideas, wishes and visions are turned into 3D models in the Space Mission laboratory and can be visited immediately using augmented reality.
The workshop combines creative use of augmented reality and AI with the invention of utopias for public space. It was developed in collaboration with Artificial Museum as part of the AR Communities research project (funded by the Province of Salzburg).
27 February 2026, Haus der Natur Salzburg, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. & 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Seminar room, ground floor

Take off together with the Haus der Natur and the City of Knowledge Salzburg! A virtual space flight in "SpaceBuzz", a look back at Earth and three exhibitions (Our Universe, Mars – The Discovery of the Red Planet, ALL.täglich!) make space accessible to everyone.
Seeing Earth from space
Astronauts describe looking back at Earth as an experience that has permanently changed their perspective on Earth and their understanding of our home planet. This so-called "overview effect" is the focus of Salzburg SpaceWeek.
Let's travel into space together to learn more about our home planet.
The project is part of the Knowledge City Salzburg initiative and is funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency's (FFG) Aerospace Agency.
