Talks, presentations, exhibitions: research-based art as work in porogress

Computer games, animated films, installations, small and large artistic plans and sketches—gold extra's Open Studio is a place to talk about art that is currently being created. In the Open Studio, we talk to artists about snapshots from and within their own works, show the work behind their own creations, or open our own and others' drawers and boxes to bring out works that are important to us and that should be shown, discussed, and seen for themselves. 
In 4 to 6 events or exhibitions per year, we will present unique pieces starting in 2026. Works of art that are the beginning of a story, an artistic research project, a social situation.

The Open Studio series has a long history. From 2012 to 2025, the former gold extra studio hosted the Open Studio series, which was primarily a series of artistic discussions until the space became too small and a forced break ensued. With the new studio, we are delighted that we can now also exhibit works of art for discussion.
