Idyll and We Are at Ars Electronica Festival 2026

Under the title “Future Begins - Negotiating Humanity,” the Ars Electronica Festival will take place in Linz from September 9 to 13, 2026.

We are delighted that two of gold extra’s projects will also be featured:

Idyll is a documentary augmented reality intervention in the form of a snow globe that examines climate change from a personal, globally interconnected perspective. What does snow mean to us? When did we experience it for the first or last time, and what emotions does it evoke in us?

We Are – Invent Your Game! is a program to support children and young people in the fields of digital games and digital creativity. Seven of the games created in 2026 at the Game Camp and Game Studio in the children’s town of Mini Salzburg will be presented in the Create Your World section.
